What exactly is a Concord watch replica?

Firstly just to verify where we are going with this. What is a Concord original? A Concord original is a Swiss watch.

This means that its parts are usually produced in Switzerland, however, a real Swiss watch technically these days may be called Swiss if only up to a quarter of its parts come from Switzerland. It may also be considered to be a genuine Swiss watch if it is made one hundred percent in Switzerland, but also technically only part of the watch being made in Switzerland can also qualify the watch as being Swiss made. So where do manufacturers, sellers or buyers draw the line between original Swiss made and Swiss made or partially Swiss made? It’s too hard to quantify these days. The fact is that you as a purchaser of any so called Swiss made watch are really at the whim of the manufacturer and/or the seller and their suppliers.

You couldn’t even go to Switzerland and buy a genuine Swiss made watch because chances are the intricate and tiny parts that go into the so called Swiss made watch have probably been shipped over from China anyway.

Then what is the logical conclusion from all of this? It is that it is a waste of time to seek out and buy what is supposedly an original Swiss made watch these days because many of the parts to make up that watch would be sourced from elsewhere anyway and you would be kidding yourself that you were buying a Swiss made masterpiece.

You would in fact be better off to buy a Concord watch replica because it would be ever as original as the so called real thing anyway.
